Brandon congrats on the huge 84-46 victory against the MLP Academics Heidelberg. The Romerstrom Gladiators Trier are 3-1. How good does it feel to have gotten off to such a great start.

Feels great to start off this season like this but we also we know it’s early in to the season and much more work needs to be done. So far so good.

The Romerstrom Gladiators Trier gave up 46 points. Can you remember the last time you gave up that little points in a pro or college game?

Well I can’t remember a game that I played in where very few points was given. We played good defense.

The Romerstrom Gladiators Trier had the comfortable 38-24 advantage at the break. What was key for having the lead and what was key for the defense to be able to stifle Heidelberg so much?

We all are comfortable playing at home with our fans behind us. Defiantly our defense created a lot of our offense opportunities.

You scored 10 of your 24 points in the fourth quarter. Did the big lead help heighten your self confidence at the offensive end?

No I wouldn’t say it heighten it really but from start to finish because I am always confident in my abilities on what I can do on the court.

As a team you averaged allowing 12 points per quarter Is this the kind of consistent defense that you want to see all season long?

Yes all season we want to establish that consistent defense pressure all season long that’s our plan.

The team really did just about everything right, but what would you say was the second biggest strength after the defense? Perhaps team rebounding? The club hauled down 13 offensive rebounds.

Team rebounding is another stat we like to be consistent at this defiantly a big strength on are team.

The Romerstrom Gladiators Trier don´t have many pro A household names on the team, but seem to be clicking early. What do you believe is the secret to the team success so far this season?

We have players that have been here last season and we know what coach want from us and we know what to expect in this league. We have players that are experienced in this league and they lead by example which helps the new guys.

This is your second season playing with Sebastian Herrera. If someone had told you last season that he would be your leading scorer after four games this season what would you have thought?

Seba has been playing well and is another player on this team that can heat up at any moment. That’s good to have.

How valuable has the duo of S& S Schmitz/Smit been for the team. Head coach Marco Van Den Berg seemed to find the right fix with these two players.

These two guys are very important to the team they bring leadership and experience Simon´s leadership skills last season and this season is big time for the team. They both are well respected.

One never wants to look back and cry about a player that has left, but how good of a job has been done filling the void of the departed Dwayne Evans?

We have players to step in his position to fill his void. Last season with Wayne was great. I grew up with Wayne which made it easier for us connect on and off the court. I have watched a game or two of his and I’m happy he is doing well.

You are playing another solid season and continue to help in all aspects of the game. Does your leadership skills reach a higher dimension this season in your second season?

Yes coming in this season I feel much more comfortable and even more relaxed on the court. I love leading and being able to show by example. This is a long season and being consistent is key.

Do you feel like you can evaluate your game to another level this season with the quality of talent on the team?

Most defiantly

Now that Lebron finally brought a NBA title to the Cavs where does he rank now with the all-time best ever?

King James top 3

Now that Kevin Garnett has retired, where does his legacy rest among the all-time great?

KG´s passion and heart can never be measured. His legacy rest among players like MJ, Kareem, and Magic

What was the last movie that you saw?

Triple 9.

Thanks Brandon for the chat.
