Braydon congrats on the massive 81-80 victory over Bamberg tonight in Giessen. Did the world go under after this win in Giessen? Did you party well into the night or call it an early night?

Thanks a lot Miles. The world definitely did not go under in Giessen but the place was buzzing a bit after the win against Bamberg. We celebrated after the win but it was a fairly early night for us.

Was this the biggest win of your professional career and game winning shot or has another game topped beating the current German champion?

It’s definitely one of the biggest wins of my pro career. Beating a euroleague team, during the season, will always be a huge win.

Bamberg had the seven point lead going into the fourth quarter. What really was key for 40 minutes to have been able to stay with a team of this talent for 40 minutes?

I think never giving up was obviously the key to the game. We could have easily given up going into that fourth quarter. We continued to battle and it paid off in the final seconds of the game.

Take us through the last play that led to your game winning shot with the assist to forward Ekene Ibekwe. How much confidence did you have making this shot under pressure?

It was a great play and recognition from Ekene. Bamberg shot the ball with about 8 seconds left. The shot came up a bit short and Ekene rebounded it. As he was rebounding, I took off for the basket at the other end and he hit me with a perfect pass for the lay up. I didn’t have any time to feel pressure for the shot because it happened so fast.

What has been key for the extremely quick transition period for Ekene Ibekwe being able to be integrated so well. Was this more on his part or a combination of team and him?

Ekene is a smart and experienced player so we knew he would transition quickly into our system. The team and coaching staff have been working hard with him to put him in the best position to be productive. He’s helped us tremendously already. Looking forward to playing more with him.

How did it feel in your third BBL game playing against some of these ex NBA players like Darius Miller and Elias Harris. Were you as pumped as ever going into a game like this?

I felt great going into the game. I prepared like any other game though. It’s always exciting playing big name players

What was it like playing against Brad Wanamaker? What impressed you most about his game? His calmness or concise decision making?

It was fun playing against a player of that caliber. He’s a smart and tough point guard that competes at the top level. I was impressed the most about how well he gets his whole team involved. He controls the game and they play at their speed. They will be successful with him at the point guard position.

You have adjusted well to the Beko BBL in your first three games. What has been the biggest hurdle for you making the transition from Pro A to Beko BBL?

The biggest hurdle has probably been adjusting to the speed and physical play of the BBL. We have a lot of players that were in the ProA last season, so we are all adjusting.

Giessen has really ben annoying BBL teams and could easily be 2-1 had you won in Wurzburg. How confident are you at this point that this team will be able to play with BBL teams on a consistent rate?

We are extremely confident that we can compete at this level. We just need to take one game at a time.

One of the biggest surprises has been Braimoh Suleiman who is the teams leading scorer. He played in lower leagues and so far has rocked the Beko BBL. What have you appreciated most about his game so far?

Su has been great for us this season. He has brought a ton of energy to our team which has helped us. He can score in a multitude of ways. I think that’s why he has been successful thus far in the BBL.

Is there a curse on Derrick Rose? He is injured again? Do you ever see him playing through a season?

I wouldn’t call it a curse on Derrick Rose. I would just call it bad luck. Hopefully we get to see him play again in the NBA because he is fun to watch. I definitely think he will get healthy and make it through another season.

What was the last movie that you saw?

Gladiator.

Thanks Braydon for the chat.
