He spoke to German Hoops before the game against the EWE Baskets Oldenburg

Thanks Larry for talking to German Hoops. A tough 82-79 loss in Frankfurt. What hurt more at the end, having used all that energy and losing or all that heart in the comeback and losing?

A little bit if both, but in basketball you Win some in you lose some in comeback situations

When you look back at the last minute, Phoenix Hagen did much right getting the ball back, causing turnovers and fouls, but just weren´t able to hit the needed shots. Is there anything else that the team could have done differently that might have turned the game into another direction?

The only thing we could of did better is not wait until the last minute to turn it up.

What was your impression of the Fraport Skyliners. They have a three game winning streak and seem to be on a fine way. Especially the German development of Barthel, Voigtmann and Klein has been paying divendends as they are solid starters now. Frankfurt might be a team like Hagen that could be fighting for the last Beko BBL playoff spot. How do you like the three Germans and where could the journey of the team end this season?

They are a solid team, but it is still going to be tough, the league has it’s top teams but then there is a lot of good teams in the middle pack that are going to fight for that spot, including us. Their inexperience might catch up with them or prove to be just what they need.

Obviously any shot that Mark Dorris makes is great, but if you had to choose when seeing him on the court, do you rather see him penetrating and making an amazing shot in traffic, or his exciting off balance mid distance shots where he jumps high to shoot over someone?

His mid distance shot is money, he does it a million times in practice

You had two quick fouls and then managed your play on defense very well especially on defense. How do you adjust your defense best when you are stuck with early foul trouble?

I really don’t adjust it, I play the same. The refs are either going to call it or not, it’s always a toss up.

The next game is against the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. What has been your impression of them and what kind of game can we await from them this weekend?

They are a tough team with two good veterans in Paulding and Jenkins. It will be a challenge but we have home court advantage.

How much fun is it playing against Ricky Paulding? Where do you rate this matchups with all other matchups in the Beko BBL?

I wouldn’t say fun, but I do like being challenged. I’m a rising star in this league, it’s only right for me to guard the best player of another team.

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

Now you see me

Thanks Larry for the chat.
