He spoke to German Hoops before the next game against the Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg

Larry thanks for talking to German Hoops again. A big 88-82 win in Trier where it is never easy to win. How important was it getting this huge road win on the road snapping the four game losing streak?

It was huge, we needed to get this Win and try to get some momentum back for the season

In that four game losing streak, Phoenix Hagen averaged giving up 98 points per game. Is it sometimes that a team just loses focus in a certain area of the game mentally or was mechanics on the court mainly the problem on defense in that four game stretch?

Yea lately we have been struggling getting stops when we need them, but with our fast pace offense things happen throughout the game.

What were the main reasons for getting the win in Trier? It seemed like you guys did a fairly good job containing Trevon Hughes and how important was the team togetherness down the stretch?

We just fought and pretty much wanted it more. We had to overcome a big deficit but we stuck together and got it done.

Last season Phoenix Hagen often had big games from Davin White to help win games and against TBB Trier Phoenix Hagen only got one minute from Henry Dugat and Ole Wendt did a solid job with the playmaking. How much of a plus is it when you can find other ways to win a game without necessarily having a huge game from the point guards?

We have a lot of guys that are capable of picking up the slack, so it’s just natural on this team if someone is not having a great game, someone else will always pick up the slack.

David Bell hit seven three pointers and probably will battle Fraport Skyliner Andrew Rautins for the three point shooting crown until the end of the season. What continues to amaze you from his game besides his amazing knack for dropping bombs from outside?

He has a great will to Win and his skills back up his emotion to help us when games. He is the motor that helps this team go. He is a tough dude.

The next game is against the Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg who have the identical record of Phoenix Hagen at 4-4. How important are these early season games against potential teams that will battle for the last playoffs spot for leverage in the standings as well as having the confidence booster for the return game latter in the season?

It’s important for us to get this Win, so that we can stay In the race. These points are very very important.

The Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg have had an up and down season, but are always able to get an upset. What kind of game can we await? The problem with Ludwigsburg is that they have very many guys that can hurt you.

Our main focus is on ourselves, we play the same way on offense and defense, so we want to focus on on doing those things 100% and we will worry about everything else as it comes. We scouted them and we will be well prepared for whatever they have to bring to Hagen!

What was the last DVD movie that you saw?

The Wolverine

Thanks Larry for the chat.
